After A Long Time Im Postig Something Intrsting So Read It..This Topic Is Very Useful For You..

Cryptography:

Cryptography (or cryptology means "hidden, secret writing and study) is the practice and study of techniques for secure communication in the presence of third parties (called adversaries).More generally, it is about constructing and analyzing protocols that overcome the influence of adversaries and which are related to various aspects in information security such as data confidentiality, data integrity, and authentication.Modern cryptography intersects the disciplines of mathematics, computer science, and electrical engineering. Applications of cryptography include ATM cards, computer passwords, and electronic commerce.
Modern cryptography

1 Symmetric-key cryptography

2 Public-key cryptography

3 Cryptanalysis

4 Cryptographic primitives

5 Cryptosystems

Steganography:Terrorist Chatting

Steganography is the art and science of writing hidden messages in such a way that no one, apart from the sender and intended recipient, suspects the existence of the message, a form of security through obscurity. The word steganography means "concealed writing" . The first recorded use of the term was in 1499 by Johannes Trithemius in his Steganographia, a treatise on cryptography and steganography disguised as a book on magic. Generally, messages will appear to be something else: images, articles, shopping lists, or some other covertext and, classically, the hidden message may be in invisible ink between the visible lines of a private letter.

The advantage of steganography, over cryptography alone, is that messages do not attract attention to themselves. Plainly visible encrypted messages—no matter how unbreakable will arouse suspicion, and may in themselves be incriminating in countries where encryption is illegal. Therefore, whereas cryptography protects the contents of a message, steganography can be said to protect both messages and communicating parties.

Thank you for giving an overview about cryptography and steganography. Both these approaches sounds similar to me but technically they are different. But the main idea behind each of them is to secure the information.
